GS Road | Kangkan Rajkhowa
This film is based on GS Road Molestation Case. After Shinyor, this is the second directorial venture of Kangkan Rajkhowa. According to the makers, this film is based on the victim but not on the politician or the local news channel who have taken the footage of the girl in the heart of the city. It is loosely based on the infamous G.S. Road, Guwahati molestation incident that shook both the media and citizens of not only Assam but also the nation at large. The story is about an ambitious girl, who, on her way to achieve a desired dream, plans her way into the world of rich and famous, treachery and deceit, but later falls in her own trap and faces the harsh realities of life.
The cast and crew of the film includes Kangkan Rajkhowa in Direction, Editing and screenplay, music by Anurag Saikia, Camera by Prayash Tamuly and costume design by Barnali Kalita. The actors are Pranami Bora, Diganta Hazarika, Achinto Shankar and Udayan Duarah.
30 October | Bidyut Chakraborty
From the makers of “The Face”, October 30 is an another film base on the serial bomb blasts. October 30, a dark chapter in Assam’s history. On that day in the year 2008, 18 serial bomb blasts took place in Guwahati, Barpeta Road, Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar. The explosions in Guwahati ripped through Pan Bazar, Fancy Bazar and Gnaeshguri, which were crowded with shoppers and office goers. On that day, 77 people were left dead and around 470 were either maimed or seriously injured.
“30 October” is being directed by Well-known actor-director Bidyut Chakraborty and Produced by Barnali Hazarika under the banner of Santoshi Maa Production. You can find more information on the film 30 October.
