This Assamese Actor Featured in Bollywood Film High Jack

High Jack is a 2018 Indian stoner comedy film directed by Akarsh Khurana, starring Sumeet Vyas, Mantra and Sonnalli Seygall in lead. This film has been released on 18 May and an Assamese actor is also playing a very important role in it. He is none other than Boloram Das.

Born and brought up in Guwahati Boloram Das is a promising alumnus of the prestigious National School of Drama (NSD) and today Boloram is making his mark in mainstream Hindi films and TV. Before making his movie debut Boloram was a part of the Kingdom of Dreams’ biggest Bollywood stage show, Zangoora.

In a span of two years, he performed in as many as 800 shows. Not only that, Boloram was also seen sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in a TVC for Parle Gold Star.

The actor, who featured in the Hollywood movie The Black Russian, made his Assamese movie debut with Antareen, which explores the struggles of a woman who is falsely declared mentally unstable and is admitted into a mental asylum.

In 2012, he did a film called ‘The Black Russian’. It was an Indo-US project directed by Carlos Valle. It was released in the US but yet to come here.

Another film ‘Interconnect’ which tells the story of Bela, a garment worker in Bangladesh will be released soon. It’s based on a true event when a garment factory collapsed. Now, it’s being screened in some film festivals across the globe.

Till now Boloram has worked in Crime Petrol series and a number of Bollywood films including in ‘Badlapur Boys’, ‘Haider’, ‘Ok Jaanu’ and ‘Gabbar is Back’ among others. He is also working on a Star Plus series now.
