Munmi Bora aka Baby Munmi is a singing sensation of the’80s, a child prodigy!
Munmi became very much popular with her quite mature sweet voice in Assamese music world in the ’80s. Her first album “Munmi” was very much liked by the people and songs like ‘Xarodi Komal’, ‘Ei nijaan raati’ etc became very popular. She bagged the best playback singer awards in 1988-89 for her performance in ‘Abhimaan’ presented by Eastern India Motion Picture Association (EIMPA). She also got the opportunity to sing in a few Bollywood movies like ‘Rihaee’ and ‘Abhimanyu’. This talented singer just disappeared from the music world like a falling star may be due to some illness.
