An architect turned filmmaker Tarunabh Dutta who germinated the idea to make an Assamese sci-fi movie somewhere around 2011 and now after 3 years he is ready to release his dream project called “Avataran”. Produced by Dr. Nalinikanta Dutta, Avtaran is based on the latest VFX and Animation technology. It is very tricky for anyone to dare to start a project like this where there is no value for VFX and Animation technology but kudos to Tarunabh who made it happen.
Shot on the new ‘Canon 5D Mark III’ camera, this film is written and directed by Tarunabh Dutta, who made one of the first Assamese science fiction film ‘UFO’, also based on aliens, three years back. Like its predecessor, this film too, is an independent production. Boasting state-of-the-art VFX technology, cg characters and 3D animations, this film promises to be the first of its kind with a new perspective.
100 years Into the future: earth is destroyed, mankind endangered. An ancient power bought by a highly intelligent Alien race might hold the key to saving mankind. A recap to present times. Year 2014. The ancient power resurfaces, closely pursued by sinister forces. A small girl Panchi and her family get entangled in the struggle involving far superior and hostile forces. However, there is still hope as long as there is goodness and belief. This is truly shown by the children with their honest and innocent outlook. Thus an adventure ensues and it is ultimately upto the children to keep their faith alive and fight for their home and family, and restore peace.
