An album of modern Assamese songs titled ‘Gitasreer Anubhab’ containing 6 tracks of distinct style was released recently. The album has been musically arranged by popular Assamese music director Pranjal Prodip Bharali and Bikash Baruah. The album containing the tracks Aaji Bukure, Jeni Sao, Noware Bandhibo, Runjun, Poluwai Nibine and Jur Posowa which have been rendered by Gitasree Borah, Zubeen Garg and Rintu Saikia. All the songs are written and tuned by Somiran Malay, Pankaj Sami, Hridayananda Saikia (Jon), Kalyan Kumar Kalita and Gitasree. Chorus vocals is by Puspanjali Mili, Dipshikha Bora and Shreemoyee Bordoloi whereas the musicians are Bikash Baruah, Pranjal Prodip Bharali, Bhaskarjyoti Saikia (Poita), Mriganka Goswami and Anubhab Kashyap. The songs are recorded and mixed by Pranjal Prodip Bharali at Studio Eden, Jorhat. The album has been produced by Bigadhar Borah and Bina Hazarika Borah under the banner of B. B. Production. All the songs are written and have been carefully arranged to suit ever changing demands of Assamese music lovers. The audiences will definitely vibe from each song.
Gitasree Borah, lead singer of the album, had started her journey in singing in 2007 and has undergone training with Guru Sibani Baruah Phukan in Munin Baruah Memorial Music College. She shared her feelings saying that it is a dream comes true for her as she had always dreamt of releasing an album. Her parents also helped in fulfilling her dream. She hopes that the Assamese music lovers will accept her album and encourage her in her musical journey. During this Bihu Season, ‘Gitasreer Anubhab’ will be a remarkable addition to the Assamese music world.
