Singer Preetom Dutta has recently release the song Hengdang from his album “Small Town Boy” and it has a powerful message. Right from the lyrics which is written by Tofiqur Rahman, to the conceptualisation of the project, much needed in our times when our very social fabric as the greater Assamese society is under threat from xenophobia and hatred in the name of majoritarian religious and identity politics.
