Shooting for ‘Bhoga Khidikee’ (Broken Window) – the debut Assamese film of ‘Lunchbox’ producer Shahnaab Alam and also the most recent venture by director Jahnu Barua – has come to an end. The movie has been shot almost entirely in and around Kaziranga, Bokakhat, and Guwahati. The film’s plot is a dramatic retelling of real incidents and has Zerifa Wahid and Seema Biswas in lead roles.
“I have harboured a desire to produce a film in Assamese also, primarily because I belong to Assam and there are a plethora of fascinating stories from the northeastern part of our country still waiting to be adapted to cinema. Above all, to be able to use a master auteur and storyteller par excellence such as Jahnu Barua has been a possibility of a lifetime and a great honor not to be missed,” an elated Alam told TOI.
“As expected, working with Jahnu da proved to be a daily masterclass in filmmaking. Additionally, the fact that he’s so focused and clear on what he wants to achieve and portray made the entire experience of shooting extremely smooth and extremely enjoyable,” he added.
