Making of Assamese Song from the movie “Hosa Prem” – Capturing True Love

Behind the scenes of Assamese feature film Hosa Prem which is a movie within a movie where a group of amateur filmmakers attempts to make the most unique Romantic Comedy movie ever filmed in the history of world cinema by capturing Real Love from real life.

This title song was shot in multiple locations in Guwahati, Assam, India. Due to budget constraints in Assamese Cinema, we planned the shoot in parts, along with the Drama shoot schedule, spread across many days. Hence it became a nightmare for the Makeup Artist, DOP, and cinematographer to maintain consistency throughout the scenes of the new Assamese songs of Hosa Prem Movie.

Making of the Assamese film – Hosa Prem – guerrilla filmmaking

Shooting in the middle of the city with massive traffic was a big challenge. We would hold the traffic on both sides for a few minutes to shoot a scene quickly before the traffic police come to chase us away. So almost like a guerrilla filmmaking technique we are wrapping up in one place and rushing to another trying to shoot as many scenes as possible in a day

Babli Haque Music Director from Mumbai who has given hit music for Bollywood movies like Nanu Ki Jaanu, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and Bezubaan Ishq composed and provided the tune for this song working remotely from Bollywood Film Industry. He coordinated with Krishna Raaz an upcoming Lyricist and Singer from upper Assam.

In one scene the Actress smashes the Hero so hard that he actually falls. In the story, though he was not supposed to fall. That shot has been added in this video where you can hear the crew laughing out loud.
